  • Vyasan Mukti Kendra (motivating people to give up vices): Pujyashree Bhupendrabhai Pandya possesses a remarkable ability to convince people, during his discourses, the futility of possessing vices - be it smoking, drinking, chewing tobacco etc. is instilled and inspiration provided to give them up completely. Citing some examples, 150 people gave up vices in a katha held at Dahod, Gujarat in December 2002 and another 200 people gave up vices in a katha held at Ahmedabad in January 2003. In every katha, people come forward to give up various vices, which they realise are binding them and making them dependent. The fact that people flock these de-addiction camps to give up their vices clearly indicates the effectiveness of Pujyashree Bhai's speech.
  • Arranging marriages of blind and handicapped:   At some kathas, the marriage ceremony of blind, handicapped and underprivileged couples are solemnised on the occasion of Krushna-Rukmini Vivaaha which features on the sixth day of the Bhagavat discourse. People who attend the kathas happily give all that they can to the newly married couples

  • Adoption of children of war martyrs and orphans:  Education of the adopted children becomes the responsibility of the organization. For this noble cause too, various families across the globe help the organization financially to meet the needs of these children.

  • Rendering help to people affected by natural calamities like droughts, floods, earthquakes, etc.:  Time and again devastating calamities have hit India; the cyclone in Orissa, the earthquake in Gujarat and the recent tsunami in the coastal regions. Donations in cash and kind were made to help people in the affected areas. Besides these there are many incidents where help is required and our organisation makes a genuine effort to stand by such people in their hour of need.

  • Solving environmental issues:   Spreading awareness concerning the importance of the Tulsi plant; not only of its medicinal use but also its contribution towards enriching the ozone layer. Vrunda means Tulsi and Vrundavan means forest of Tulsi. The Govardhan Leela, which is narrated on the fifth day of the Bhagavat katha, took place in Vrundavan. To create environmental awareness in this modern world, during the 1125 Parayan Ishwar Naap Jaap Katha held at Santacruz in Mumbai, a mountain of thousands of Tulsi plants was created. This mountain represented the holy Govardhan Mountain. Devotees were given the Tulsi plant as Prasaad and were requested to nurture and take care of this holy plant. They were also asked to pass on these Tulsi plants to as many people as possible. The medical qualities of Tulsi are world known, Tulsi yields ozone-rich oxygen into the atmosphere. Our religion is definitely scientific and teaches us to be eco-friendly.
  • Protection and care of cows: In recent times we are witnessing an increasing trend in the slaughtering of cow. According to the Hindu philosophy, the cow has always been considered a very holy animal. The rate at which cows are being slaughtered, there might come a day when children of the future generation will see them only in zoos. The cow will soon become extinct. Due to lack of funds to maintain them, the fate of the cows is becoming doomed. As Indians, it is our prime duty to protect them. Pujyashree Bhupendrabhai strenuously preaches regarding the prevention of their slaughter and the care they can be given. He talks about how every family if it desires can contribute, in their own way, towards the caring of cows. Since most of us live in an urban setup, it is not possible for each of us to take care of individual cows, but there are many organizations, which take up this responsibility. On our part we have to support these institutions to the best of our capacity.
