Medical Activities

Pujyashree Bhupendrabhai Pandya has various dreams for bringing around a qualitative transformation of mankind. Under his able guidance, many institutions such as Samakti Foundation, Samakti Mission (USA), Samakti Mission (UK) and Samakti Seva Parivar are actively working towards uplifting people to attain higher goals. These institutions offer medical, social, educational, emotional and spiritual aid to all those in need.


 

Donation of Ambulance

Samakti Foundation donated an ambulance to the IHO to serve as a mobile van for AIDS prevention and cure. Photograph below:

Blood Donation Drive

MMedical science has made immense progress, but unfortunately, blood is something that cannot be manufactured by us. It has to be donated. Blood donation camps are regularly held at various kathas. Photograph below:

Free Eye Camps

A free Eye Camp was organised at Haridwar in May, 1999 during the katha. 80% of the people who took advantage were sadhus who have no access to any organised form of medical aid. Four thousand patients were attended to. They were given free spectacles, eye drops and medicines. Seventy cataract operations were also performed.

Another free Eye Camp was also organised during the Cross Maidan katha at Mumbai in December, 2003 with the help of Lion Ashok Mehta.




ECG Camp

A free ECG Camp was organised during the Kandivli Katha in November, 2001. Numerous people were attended to, of which one person was rushed to hospital and others were advised precautionary measures..




Physiotherapy Camp

A free Physiotherapy Camp held during the Kandivli Katha in November, 2001 evoked a very good response. Many took advantage of the facility provided.



Cancer Detection Camp

A free Cancer Detection Camp was also conducted at the Kandivli Katha. Maximum people took advantage of this camp, which was conducted by the Indian Cancer Society. Some were detected positive, while others were advised a further line of investigations.

Ayurved Camp

An Ayurved clinic was also set up at the Kandivli Katha which evoked a good response.




Osteoporosis Camp

An Osteoporosis Camp was set up at the Cross Maidan Katha which drew a large crowd. The Bone density was determined and the line of treatment suggested.



Accupressure Camp

An Accupressure Camp was also set up at the Cross Maidan Katha. Many took advantage of this non-invasive treatment.
