Hindu Youth UK, Leicester’s first ever experience with Pujyashree Bhupendrabhai Pandya on 21st July 2005 on the special occasion of Guru Purnima at Shree Sanatan Mandir was simply amazing. An enlightening discourse had been hosted wherein Pujyashree Bhai elucidated on ‘Relevance of a Guru in the Western world’. This was actually the first time that a saint had given a talk in English. It was really great, as suddenly religion had become understandable and meaningful for the youth.
All those who were fortunate to have interacted with Pujyashree Bhai
felt that there was a unique aspect to his personality. They thoroughly
enjoyed Bhai’s visit as he gave them attention and time and tried to
know them on a personal basis. The days of the discourses were fun,
spiritual and educational, all encompassing. The atmosphere was so motivating,
Pujyashree Bhai’s words so powerful and relevant that everyone was touched.
You really had to be there to experience the feeling!
Communicating with him was really easy, as we could understand each
other. He understood our needs, blended them with spirituality and taught
us how to balance life with religion. This was quite remarkable as we
all felt that we were a part of Pujyashree Bhai’s extended family.
PujyashreeBhai is the torchlight that brightens the spirit of Sanatan
Dharma for the youth. He has inspired many in Leicester and left an
indelible mark through his vast knowledge, wisdom and most importantly
his presence. Moreover, his smile is so infectious that it is difficult
not to smile back. Just talking to him filled us with happiness, being
in his presence made us feel sanctified. We may have spent very little
time with Pujyashree Bhai, but these moments were one of the best experiences
we have ever had and will remain close to our hearts. It is difficult
to express our emotions but the proximity that we feel with Pujyashree
Bhai, remains unparalleled!
