Shreemad Bhagavat Katha
By: Pujya Shree Bhupendrabhai Pandya
Vaishnav Satsang Mandal of Kansas City successfully organized Shrimad Bhagvat Katha by Shree Bhupendrabhai Pandya held in Shawnee Mission, Kansas from June 4th to June 10th 2003. The Gujarati community located in Kansas City and surrounding areas participated in this event. This was the first large religious event held in Kansas City. The four mukhya Yajamans made the arrangements for maha prasad for all seven days. There was a pin drop silence during the divine lectures and audience participation was excellent. Countless positive comments have been received about Shree Bhupendrabhai's ability to convey messages in simple language with appropriate easy to understand examples. The knowledge, pride and professionalism portrayed by Shree Bhupendrabhai were exemplary and commendable. We are planning to arrange another event like this next year, preferably Ramayan.
We were indeed surprised by the attendance of many youngsters. Our
main goal of arranging Shreemad Bhagvat Katha was to preserve our rich
heritage and religious upbringing and pass it onto our next generation.
With the help of highly educated and talented saints such as Shree Bhupendrabhai,
we will be able to educate our next generation, realize our dreams and
succeed in continuing our tradition for many years in the United States
of America.
